Part of our Phase One is to get the little house on the campground up and running so people can have a place to relax and while enjoying the nature surrounding the grounds.  We have focused everything in this house to be family-friendly, especially for families with smaller children.  There’s such a hush and peace here that you just have to come visit and feel it for yourself!

The house needed some cosmetic upgrades and a new shower, it’s amazing what paint can do! Here’s before and after for the living room:

Another view of the living area:

See that before? The wall paper and greyish walls? That’s all gone now! Plenty of seating and a nice TV for those late night moves after a day of exploring.

This Behr Bit of Sugar (Sherwin Williams paint) seems to do wonders because we didn’t even change the light fixture. We fully equipped the kitchen with utensils, bakeware, cookware, and mixing bowls. The counter tops were painted by Summer and Lauren using acrylic craft paints with satin lacquer on top to match the marble look of the window sills.

I’m not sure how everyone else feels, but I think bathrooms are super important. I love a good bathroom, without a mirror right in front of the toilet. The flooring isn’t tile, so it’s not as cold in the mornings, plus there’s a wall heater that’ll keep you toasty coming out of the shower!

Until just now, I had forgotten that there was carpet! A lot has changed. Everything feels much brighter, open, and very cozy.

The flooring throughout: Verge Grey Oak Vinyl Plank.
