KY Vaccine – Religious Exemptions

You would assume by the way that the forms provided by the state are written that this isn’t a simple process, but it is. All that is required is a sworn statement that you object to vaccines on based on religious convictions. You do not (and should not) need to explain what those are or why, as that, in itself, is a violation of religious freedom.

This is all that is needed:

Re: Child Name (date of birth)

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to KRS214.036, this is a written, sworn statement that I am opposed to medical immunization on the grounds of my religious beliefs.

An excerpt of this statute is as follows:
Nor shall KRS 158.035, 214.010, 214.020, 214.032 to 214.036, and 214.990 be construed to require the immunization of any child whose parents are opposed to medical immunization against disease, and who object by a written sworn statement to the immunization of such child on religious grounds.
